How do I watch a film on Audio Ciné Films?

Answer

What can I watch  Audio Ciné Films on?

The Audio Ciné Films Database supports playback on Apple and PC laptops and desktops, as well as phones and tablets running either Android or iOS. To watch a film, all you need to do is click on the film you wish to watch, then click on the button that says "watch." The film should then load and begin playing in your browser automatically.

If you receive the following message: "Error Starting Video: Error Code 626," you are most likely viewing the database on an out-of-date browser. Try updating your browser to the latest version before attempting to view the film again. Depending on your operating system (e.g. Windows, MacOS, Android, or iOS), you may need to update your operating system in order to update your browser. You can also switch to a different browser if you have one on your device, or download a new browser. Audio Ciné Films recommends using the latest version of Google Chrome when using the database, as this is the primary browser that they use for testing. If this does not fix the issue, please contact us immediately. You can contact the Library anytime here.

What if I want to share a film with someone?

If you wish to share the film with others, click on the button that says "Share." It can be found beside the "Watch" and "Trailer" buttons when you first click on a film in the database, or immediately below a film while you are viewing it. There will be two choices, "Copy Direct Link" and "Copy LMS Link." Click "Copy Direct Link," then paste the provided link in a message, MIO, or email. As the link will require anyone who uses it to log into the database using your Marianopolis credentials, it should only be shared with a member of the College community. For details on how to log in to the Library's databases, please consult this FAQ.
