How do I see what I have checked out to my Library account and how can I renew Library items?

Answer

To see both what you have checked out and to renew any item from the Library's Circulating or Graphic Novels collections, you can go in-person to the Circulation Desk in the Library. You will need your Marianopolis ID card.

You can also see what items you have checked out and renew items online using the Library Catalogue's "My Account" feature.

To review the items you have checked out, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Library catalogue.
  2. Click on "My Account" in the blue toolbar.
  3. Click on "Review my account."
  4. Log in:
    • Students:
      • Your 7-digit student number: This number can be found on your Marianopolis ID card (e.g. 1234567).
      • Your PIN:  The default PIN for "My Account" is "CHANGEME", with no spaces and all in capital letters. Note that this PIN is independent from all other logins at the College. We encourage you to change this PIN to something unique. For information about changing your PIN, please consult this FAQ.
    • Faculty and Staff:
      • Your 7-digit student number: Use your employee number in place of a student number
      • Your PIN:  The default PIN for "My Account" is "CHANGEME", with no spaces and all in capital letters. Note that this PIN is independent from all other logins at the College. We encourage you to change this PIN to something unique. For information about changing your PIN, please consult this FAQ.
  5. Once you have logged in, you will see a summary of your account, including details on when items are due, which items are overdue, and any overdue fines your have have incurred.

To renew items you have checked out from the Circulation or Graphic Novels collections, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Library catalogue.
  2. Click on "My Account" in the blue toolbar.
  3. Click on "Renew My Materials."
  4. Log in:
    • Students:
      • Your 7-digit student number: This number can be found on your student ID card (e.g. 1234567).
      • Your PIN:  The default PIN for "My Account" is "CHANGEME", with no spaces and all in capital letters. Note that this PIN is independent from all other logins at the College. We encourage you to change this PIN to something unique. For information about changing your PIN, please consult this FAQ.
    • Faculty and Staff:
      • Your 7-digit student number: Use your employee number in place of a student number

  5. Once you have logged in, you will see a list of what items you have checked out. Click the check box beside individual items that you want to renew, or click the check box beside "Renew all" to renew all of your items. Click on "Renew selected items."
  6. Note that only items from the Circulating, Graphic Novels, and Light Reading collections can be renewed. They can also only be renewed once online. If you need an item for additional time past the first renewal, please talk to a Library staff member at the Circulation Desk.
